Jesus asked the rich young ruler, “why do you call me good? No one is good except God alone.”
He did not say that He wasn’t good, and He also didn’t say that He wasn’t God. It’s pretty clear that Jesus was exposing that the young man did not recognize who He was, just like Mr. Lemon.
Don Lemon does not understand the Gospel, and he clearly doesn’t know Jesus. It is obvious by watching this clip.
In John 10:30 Jesus said, “I and the Father are one.”
In John 8 the Jews tried to stone Him after this conversation:
“Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad.”
Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and have You seen Abraham?” Jesus said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, before Abraham was, I AM.”
Jesus used the name that God gave Moses to describe Himself.
John 1:1 says: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Then a few verses later this:
And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.
This means Jesus is God and He is sinless. This is why He is the spotless sacrifice for our sins. If Jesus was not sinless, we cannot be saved by His death on the cross and His resurrection.
These are the most basic teachings of the Gospel. And the people who claim to be so righteous, like Mr. Lemon, do not even begin to understand them.
They dodge any criticism of their own faults and pick out the smallest faults of anyone else, even where they do not exist. The most blatantly obvious of all being JESUS!
It’s very clear to most that liberalism is a religion of hate and has taught many of it’s radical followers to become terrorists who hate our country and anyone who disagrees with them.
Why would Christians take morality lessons from these atheists who don’t know God?
